Our Vision

Gild was born out of a simple question: why are we still writing paper checks in a world where everything else is done digitally, securely, and with the tap of a button?

After attending countless weddings in their early twenties, our founders realized how outdated and inconvenient the process of gifting had become — running to the store for a card, writing a check, and hoping it made its way safely into the gift box after being handed off to the bride’s grandma, uncle, or wedding planner. It was time-consuming, expensive, and far from seamless.

When they hosted their own events, the other side of the experience was no better. Managing a box full of cash and checks, tracking who gave what, and making endless post-event bank trips was a logistical headache.

*25 cent fee for every payout directly deposited into your account (you can do this once or as many times as you like)

Absolutely. Gild partners with trusted, industry-leading payment processors to ensure every transaction is encrypted and secure. Your financial details—and your guests’ payment information—are always protected.
Guests can use any standard payment method, including credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay. Additionally, they can provide their bank account details and pay via direct deposit to avoid credit card processing fees.
No apps. No accounts. No friction. Guests simply scan your QR code or click your Gild link, choose a gift amount, add a personal message, and send. It’s that easy. If guests would like to create an account to keep track of all the gifts they’ve sent, they have the option to do so.
No problem. Every event on Gild is searchable by the event name and date, so guests can easily find and send their gift without worry.
Gild keeps things simple and transparent. Hosts pay a one-time subscription fee to create and manage their event. Guests pay a small service fee per transaction when sending their gift. But really—can you put a price on convenience? On not having to write a check, buy a card, or spend hours depositing envelopes after your celebration? Or the peace of mind knowing there isn’t a gift box filled with thousands of dollars sitting out in the open while you’re dancing the night away? Gild replaces outdated stress with seamless, secure joy. That’s what we call gifting, elevated.
You have the flexibility to cash out of Gild and deposit the funds into your bank account any time and as often as you would like. From there, it typically takes 1–2 business days for the deposits to arrive, depending on your bank.
